Eaton's release is headlined "The 3 megawatt energy storage system in Johan Cruijff ArenA is now live"; the arena's own page describes "the 3 MW storage system"; electrive refers to "the existing 3 MW battery storage"; pv magazine recalls "the installation of a 3 MW storage system in 2018".
Caveat
3 MW is a power rating — how fast the battery can charge or discharge — not a measure of how much energy it holds. None of the sources states the energy capacity of this first battery on its own.

Caveat
The rooftop array is a separate installation whose output the battery stores, not part of the battery itself. pv magazine adds that the batteries also take in power from a wind turbine in the village of Oudendijk and a local solar park.

Caveat
The sources describe a storage system that backs up and balances the stadium's supply, not one that generates the stadium's power. pv magazine reported in 2024 that until shortly before then the system had been used mainly for emergency power.
