Caveat
Neither page says the closure happens automatically, and neither states that the rain gauges, level stations and cameras feed this particular device: the city describes a system watched around the clock from the traffic control centre, and the Métropole lists the instruments and the alert device as separate items. The French "prévenir l'inondation en surface" can equally be read as preventing flooding at street level rather than as a statement about timing.
