How this list is decided. Membership is not a field an editor set: it is every published entry whose own text names OpenStreetMap, matched at build time, with the sentence printed under each row so you can judge the match yourself. 6 entries in 5 cities.

Between June 2018 and February 2020 the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, Mobile Web Ghana and OSM Ghana surveyed four flood-prone neighbourhoods on Accra's Odaw river - Alogboshie, Akweteyman, Alajo and Nima - into OpenStreetMap: buildings, drainage networks, roads, waste dumping sites and services.
Evidence the AVL layer is live and public today: a per-stop query returns route, vehicle reference, expected arrival and departure times and 'arriving in N minutes', with vehicle positions drawn on a Leaflet/OpenStreetMap map.
Ramani Huria ('open map' in Swahili) trained roughly 470 university students and hundreds of Red Cross volunteers to map flood-prone Dar es Salaam onto OpenStreetMap using smartphones, drones and street-view surveys.
In September 2016, a dozen OpenStreetMap Cuba volunteers mapped Old Havana's streets on foot, bike and motorcycle with phones, action cameras and 360-degree cameras, covering an estimated 80-90% of the UNESCO-listed historic core and adding the imagery to the open Mapillary database.
The survey was imported into OpenStreetMap in January 2010: water points, latrines, clinics, informal schools, pharmacies, refuse sites and security black spots.
