Paris Open Data Portal (Paris Data)

The City of Paris opened its open-data portal (opendata.paris.fr, "Paris Data") on 27 January 2011, one of Europe's earlier municipal open-data efforts, publishing hundreds of datasets — mobility, environment, budget, elections — under the open ODbL licence. It stays among the city's most-used digital services (roughly a million downloads and 16 million API calls a month, by the city's own count) and was rebuilt in February 2025. Separately, Paris develops and releases the open-source Lutece framework (public since 2005) that powers many of its e-government services, such as the Dans Ma Rue reporting app.
