Integrated Command and Control Centre (Safe and Secure Ahmedabad)

The municipal corporation's smart-city company SCADL runs an integrated command and control centre in Paldi, operating since 2018; the company's registered address is the building itself. By its own account the video walls carry live feeds from more than 7,000 cameras across the city, backed by 30,000-plus sensors and surveillance devices, an on-premise data centre, 126 variable message displays, a public address network, an adaptive traffic control layer that retimes signals, and a monsoon flood view of underpasses and junctions. The same centre hosts the bus fleet, water SCADA and street-light dashboards, which is what makes it the single point of failure for most of the city's instrumentation.
