A town of 17,000 on the southern shore of Lake Garda that punches far above its weight: a 2016 performance contract turned all 6,843 street lights into a remotely managed LED network whose poles carry cameras, WiFi, air-quality sensors and parking monitoring — down to a QR code on every lamp for fault reports. Since 2016 the lake-wide utility Garda Uno has also charged electric cars here, powered by solar panels on local schools.
