Esri's ArcNews report states: "Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti launched GeoHub at the city's La Kretz Innovation Campus on January 29." The same article describes the platform as a joint undertaking: "The City of Los Angeles and Esri have partnered on a project that will spur even more innovation in government, business, and other organizations: GeoHub." GovTech, writing in August 2016, places the launch in that year: "Earlier this year, the city of Los Angeles launched GeoHub".
Caveat
Neither source prints the full date. The ArcNews article gives only the day and month; the year comes from its Spring 2016 issue label and from GovTech's "earlier this year", written in August 2016.
