Circular Building Material Passports

Revision 2026-10-05-p4-quality-run · effective 2026-10-05

Current revision. This is the snapshot used by the live entity page.

unreviewed

Quality run to P4: claim array, source dates, present-tense audit. Circl was dismantled from May 2024 with components stored for reuse and no new site named (Zuidas, Oct 2024). The 2019 Madaster item gave eight MRA municipalities certificates for being 'well on their way' to a passport for one building each — not passports, and not a city ledger. Scope is a set of pilots, not citywide.

Claims, one by one

The text below is copied verbatim from the published record. Each claim names the source dossiers that carry it; caveats stay attached to the claim they qualify.

Claim 1 clm-55f508e9dc2f3bab descriptive
Amsterdam's Circl pavilion
Published field
snippet · verbatim
Mapping
mapped · no interpretation or interpolation added by this file
What the mapping says
The project page is titled 'Circl, Amsterdam' and describes it as a pavilion: 'The ‘Circl’ pavilion is unique in the Netherlands: the first constructed practical example of sustainable and circular designs.' Client is named as ABN AMRO.
Caveat
The page confirms the pavilion and the city, but never gives its address or district; it does not place Circl at Zuidas.

Claim 2 clm-96f4f4e11db5da4c descriptive
digital material passport
Published field
snippet · verbatim
Mapping
mapped · no interpretation or interpolation added by this file
What the mapping says
Dutch Architects records that Circl's materials 'have been recorded in a ‘digital twin’; the building passport is named LLMNT.' I amsterdam defines the instrument: 'Digital material passports are databases that record detailed information about materials, enabling future reuse, reducing waste, and supporting a circular construction economy.'
Caveat
Neither source calls the Circl passport a Madaster passport, and neither says it was Madaster's first — I amsterdam lists Madaster's Amsterdam-area projects as Schiphol Trade Park and Juf Nienke, not Circl.

Claim 3 clm-348433b6a7d9cee1 descriptive
recording every material for future reuse

snippet · verbatim
Mapping
mapped · no interpretation or interpolation added by this file
What the mapping says
'All materials, components and parts that make up the building have been recorded in a ‘digital twin’', and reuse is stated as the purpose from the outset: 'The reuse of the applied materials was factored into the process right from the start.'
Caveat
The entry no longer claims the location (Zuidas), the superlative ('Madaster's first') or the year 2017: none of the three listed sources carries them.

Known limits of this file
  • Publisher names and source languages have not yet been classified; domains are recorded without guessing.
  • Existing source notes are descriptive locators, not page- or paragraph-exact citations.
  • A missing archive, publication date or content hash is shown as null rather than inferred.
  • The project-level evidence grade ranks the strongest source in the entry; it is not a truth score for every claim.
