The ITC release says the centre "has announced the activation of a smart traffic light system (Ramp Metering) to regulate vehicle flow at seven main entry points leading to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street", and names all seven: Shakhbout bin Sultan Street, Dhafeer Street and Hadbat Al Ghubainah Street outbound, plus Salama bint Butti Street, Al Dhafra Street, Rabdan Street and the Umm Yifina Street exit inbound. Gulf News reports that the ITC "has activated a smart traffic signal system (ramp metering) to manage vehicle flow at seven main entrances to Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street" and lists the same seven streets.

Both sources call the seven locations entry points or entrances to the street rather than on-ramps; the named list is of seven feeder streets.

August 2025 is the month of the announcement, and the operator's own wording is about a step still to come. The ITC release is dated "Published: Saturday, 30 August, 2025" and states that the centre "has announced the activation ... in the coming period" — a future step, not a completed switch-on, and it names no activation date. Gulf News, published on 1 September 2025, reports the same announcement in the past tense ("has activated") but likewise gives no date. Nine months later the suppliers announced the system as newly "successfully deployed", which is hard to reconcile with a working network since August 2025.
Caveat
